The Ramblas got back to winning ways with a dominant all-round performance against Blue Star. Match Report | vs Vishwa
After back to back victories, the Ramblas were brought back down to earth with a thud, suffering a heavy defeat to a strong Vishwa CC side. Initially due to host Petts Wood but when they were unable to field a team, fixtures man Steven Fitch found a new oppo and the weather cleared up in…
Match Report | vs West Wickham
For the second weekend in succession, the Ramblas snatch an improbable victory in a nail-biter of a game, in an all-time classic against first-time opposition West Wickham. In what masqueraded as summer conditions, the Ramblas’ captain Matt Rudgyard won the toss (AGAIN…), yet inexplicably chose to bat (AGAIN). Still, after the previous week’s unlikely win…
Match Report | vs Wrotham
Following last week’s resounding victory in the land of Snod, the Kent Ramblas returned to home comforts, but were ultimately bested in an absorbing encounter with Wrotham. As sure as night follows day, captain Michael Cooper lost the toss and saw his team put into the field, with newbies Freddie Skitini and Rob Dolby joining…
Match Report | vs Hildenborough
In the words of former Smiths frontman/now racist tit Morrissey, stop me if you think you’ve heard this one before… Yes, that’s right: a largely limp display with the bat from your intrepid Ramblas saw another chastening defeat in a season full of them. But before we pick the bones out of what was a…
Ramblas Family Day (2021)
After a year’s hiatus (we all know why, alas…), the annual Ramblas Family Day returned amid scorching scenes at Ex-Blues. For the third time, the undefeated Brewer’s Bashers took on Rozy’s Rascals in an abridged game of 10 overs per side, in an effort to be done in time for the England-Croatia game. Following the…
Match Report: vs Chislehurst
In a wonderful piece of symmetry, the Ramblas started their tenth their season as they did their first, on a gloriously sunny Easter Sunday. And to show how far the club has come, there were several pre-match landmarks to honour.

Match Report: vs Oakhill Taverners
After losing the previous week’s match to some classic bank holiday weather, the Ramblas were delighted that the sun was back in all its glory as they travelled to Oakhill Taverners. In what has become a tough ninth season for the club, fans and players alike were confident that the team could sign off the season in style.
Match Report: vs OD Cuaco
After a freak bout of weather, that the experts were calling ‘rain’, caused the Ramblas previous game to be cancelled, the team travelled to OD Cuaco with the weather back to its old self. Namely, baking hot without a cloud/breeze in sight.
Match Report: vs Hildenborough
Fresh from an epic win against Petts Wood the previous week, the sun had once again come out to play as the Ramblas took on Hildenborough at fortress ex-blues. And with temperatures soaring, players and fans knew it was going to be a tough afternoon in the field. And with both teams struggling for numbers, the task was going to prove all the more difficult.
Match Report: vs Petts Wood
The sun was once again out in full force as the Ramblas travelled to old foes Petts Wood, looking to avenge the home defeat earlier in the season. And despite even though Wimbledon and the World Cup were competing for peoples affections, those in the know knew that the real drama was about to unfold in a leafy corner of Kent.
Match Report: vs Hackney Umpires
The Ramblas returned home after their efforts last week as they took on new opponents Hackney Umpires. However, in the two weeks since they were last at home, fortress ex-blues looked more like a scene from a dystopian wasteland than the verdant green utopia we are used to.
Match Report: vs Chevening Amblers
Refreshed and relaxed after last week’s excellent Family Day, the Ramblas headed to old foes Chevening Amblers hoping to start the second half of the season strong. And the glorious weather and idyllic setting, the atmosphere was buzzing.
Match Report: vs Chislehurst & West Kent
Coming off the back of a humbling defeat to Sherwood last week, the Ramblas headed to Chislehurst to get back to, if not winning ways, then at least getting the spirit back in the squad. But as with last year’s game versus the hosts, Chislehurst very own micro-climate ensured that it was another chilly day for players and fans alike.
Match Report: vs Sherwood
In what is fast becoming a character building season, the Ramblas returned home to take on Sherwood, aiming to get their season kick started. And with glorious weather and a much hyped Danks tea, the Ramblas were ready for action.
Match Report: vs Hadlow
Following last week’s win against Chevening, the Ramblas headed to Hadlow keen to pick up where they left off. And with such an idyllic setting, the visitors were ready for battle.
Match Report: vs Chevening Amblers
The storm clouds disappeared, both literally and metaphorically, as the Ramblas took to the field on Sunday, eager to move on from last week’s defeat to Wrotham. Back on home soil and facing old foes Chevening, the hosts knew today was a chance to right a few wrongs.
Match Report: vs Wrotham St. George’s
As the sun beat down on an idyllic setting for a game of cricket, the Ramblas visited Wrotham St George’s, hoping to get the monkey of their back and claim the first win of a tough 2018 campaign.
Match Report: vs Petts Wood
After last week’s agonising defeat to London City, the Ramblas were hoping to regroup and they hosted old rivals Petts Wood. And despite the rain, and lack of functioning covers, doing their best to curtail their plans, the sun came out and it was game on.
